who knew?

In the short paragraph it tells that rumors and eyewitness accounts gave the hint that Jews were being killed by the Germans. This makes me think who really knew and just didnt do anything about it. i find i hard to imagine that someone would let the Germans do this kind of thing. If i had know about it i would have done something about it. The allied forces including us, did not bomb the railroads or parts of the camps. I think that they should of at least hit the railroads to cut them off! I think that something more could have been done to prevent this.

Good points, Rod. We also got into the war late, after Pearl Harbor. Would it have made a difference if we had joined the Allies earlier? Could we have prevented deaths? I don't know -- but I definitely wonder about it.
